I am a 64bit Windows user myself, so I am mainly looking for Mac/Linux users but all are welcome. I am currently looking for someone to help me test the fix. Now, this is only a temporary fix that is to be replaced by working solution inside XSX itself, so I think we can live with that. Now, because there is no 'on ground' flag I had to come up with something else - so the algorithm is using a speed constraint, to determine if aircraft is on the ground (< 50kt in current implementation). What it does is itĀ intercepts all plane drawing functions and modifies plane's elevation so that it's snapped to the ground. I noticed this when trying to communicate with the ATC on vatsim.
e.g SHIFT+L (will give me 'L' in CAPS ) but without the SHIFT it will not do anything. I have written a simple wrapper for main X-Planes drawing functions, that would act in the middle of these functions and XSX. Certain keys do not work unless I use shift + key.
#Xsquawkbox x plane 11 update
So I would like to propose a temporary solution, until an update for XSX comes out (it's pending for almost a year now). In order to run it you will need a computer with a valid copy of X-Plane 11, 10 or 9 and a wireless LAN network which connects your computer to the iPhone/iPad/. This is also a limitation of XSquawkbox, as it's not using any 'on the ground' flag (yet). Sometimes it's better and sometimes it's worse, depending on the mesh quality of FSX/P3D. We all know this is a problem coming from the fact that people use different terrain meshes and different simulators. When talking, the bar should be bouncing into the green band.
#Xsquawkbox x plane 11 code
VATSIM has recently instructed the development teams for our X-Plane clients, (xSquawkbox, xPilot, and swift), to add code which will automatically disconnect users who are unable to maintain an average of 20 frames per second while connected to VATSIM.
As a new X-Plane user I was really surprized when I connected to Vatsim for the first timeĀ and saw other aircraft floating 5 meters above the ground or buried so deep I could only see a tip of their tail sticking above the surface. The first time you run the updated version of xPilot, open settings and calibrate your microphone under the Audio Configuration menu. VATSIM: Important information for X-Plane Users. On VATSIM, users set up their aircraft in the simulators single player mode, and then use a pilot client to connect their simulator to the network.
